Danish designer Julie Sandlau's minimalist jewelry infuses Scandinavian understatement with details inspired by nature. The delicately ornate designs, favorites of stylish stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Cindy Crawford and Kiera Knightly, are created from sterling silver plated with 24-karat gold and finished with semi-precious stones, coral and mother-of-pearl. The result is a beautifully feminine, serene, vintage-inspired look that's more shimmer than bling. "When I design jewelry, I like to think that the piece is something you might have found in your grandmother's treasure box in a wonderful old attic-those pieces that were once loved," says Sandlau.
