Candyland colors and simple lines have rocketed Lauren Moffatt to success. Since Moffatt and partner Rob Pepin started the line in 1999, their colorful designs-bright green strapless dresses, yellow and white striped A-line skirts with pink leather trim, skirts with lime green lining and antique orange buttons-have garnered a global following. The couple met while studying at the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, and launched their company on a boat in New York harbor, a fitting beginning for their wonderfully whimsical collections.
