Belgian-born Martin Margiela worked at Jean Paul Gaultier before launching his own label in 1988. A leader of contemporary style, the elusive designer - who has famously never appeared on the runway - has now handed the creative reins to an in-house design team that continues to push the boundaries between art and fashion.
