One-time model Jane Mayle opened her boutique in 1999 with little experience in design - so it was a pleasant surprise to see her entire collection sell out in just three weeks. English-born Mayle's 'magpie aesthetic' quickly made her boutique a haunt for fashion-savvy New Yorkers. The Manhattan treasure trove is frequented by the likes of Helena Christensen and Sofia Coppola who often buy more than one of Mayle's ultra-feminine, cotton tops and dresses.
