Named after the address of its headquarters at 5, rue du Mail in Paris' 2nd arrondissement, French designer Martine Sitbon established Rue du Mail by Martine Sitbon in 2004. Sitbon, showed her first eponymous collection in Paris in 1986 and took the creative hot seat at Chloé for nine seasons from 1988. She's become a designer icon and her independent spirit permeates this label, which is a trademark blend of roughness and richness adored by eclectic fashion mavens Sofia Coppola, Lou Doillon and Kirsten Dunst.
