    OLD TIMES,

    London

This is a rare chance to see one of our favorite movie actresses, the ever-elegant Kristin Scott Thomas, up-close and personal. She stars in a new version of Harold Pinter’s play, Old Times, alongside the dashing Rufus Sewell. Harold Pinter Theatre, January 12 – April 6; oldtimestheplay.com

CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF,

    New York

Scarlett Johansson (right) sprinkles some Hollywood stardust over Broadway as she makes her return to the stage. She plays Maggie, the seductive but neglected wife made famous by Elizabeth Taylor in the 1958 film adaptation. Scarlett won a Tony Award for her role in A View From The Bridge opposite Liev Schreiber, so expectations are high. Richard Rodgers Theatre, January 17 – March 30; richardrodgerstheatre.com
