    “Fill a basin with warm water, add a few drops of lavender essential oil, then soak a cloth in the water. Take time to really cleanse your skin for a few minutes, then compress your face two to three times with the lavender-infused cloth – it will bring instant freshness and radiance to your skin.

    Using your knuckles and a rich moisturizer, massage your skin with medium pressure for a full two minutes. Not only will this technique accentuate your cheekbones and plump up your skin, it will also really get the blood pumping to give you that healthy look you get post-facial.

    Next, massage a little de-puffing eye cream around the socket and eyelid, using gentle but firm circular motions for one minute. If you're thinking of heading out post-treatment, use something gentle on your face, like a BB cream, for some light coverage.”

    “Begin with a good oil-based scrub to smooth and refine skin. Then massage an oil-based lotion into the skin and body butter on tougher areas like knees and elbows.

    Sit with your back supported and elevate your legs so they are higher than your hips. Start at your ankle and work your way up towards the hip using a firm, pressing action to drain any excess fluid.

    If your legs will be bare, a good fake tan, like St Tropez Self-Tan Bronzing

    Mousse, will be your savior. Before applying, add a small amount of moisturizer to your knees, feet and ankles, as this is where fake tan tends to cling. Pump the tanning product onto an applicator mitt and use an upward motion from ankle to thigh. Don't apply any additional product to the mitt – just use what's left from your leg application to do your feet and ankles.

    Try adding definition and toning the shape of your legs with some clever shading tricks. Stand in front of a mirror and apply bronzer along the natural indent from your thigh and calf muscles (standing on your tip toes will help you see where the muscle forms on your calf). Add a little sheen to highlight.”
