    The couple met at Coachella in 2007, when they were introduced by a mutual friend. “I knew he liked me, so I played it cool,” she says with a smile. “I never exchanged numbers as I just knew we were going to see each other again.” She was right – four years later, they were married. “We're so compatible; he's the coolest guy I've ever met, and my best friend.”

    The family split their time between their apartment in Tribeca, NYC, and their farm in Nashville, Tennessee. “We call it the farm as there is a lot of land, but we only have three horses,” she admits. The model's style changes depending on location, from rock'n'roll on her own time to

A self-confessed “real girl's girl” when it comes to clothes, she is obsessed with Isabel Marant, Givenchy and Stella McCartney, which she is wearing when we meet – black and white paisley pants and a white shirt, accessorized only with her caramel tan. “I'm a huge shopper and, since I had my daughter, I am much more experimental with fashion. I don't care if someone doesn't like it; if I like it, that's all that matters.”

    As for the future, Aldridge knows that Victoria's Secret won't last forever, regardless of the ballet and Pilates classes she endures to keep her enviable figure. “When my time is up, it's up,” she shrugs. “But I make sure I mix up jobs and branch out. I want to create an organic beauty line, a fashion line, and I'd love to do kidswear. I've done Victoria's Secret [so] I have a name and I can launch myself in a bigger way. But, wherever my career takes me, I am blessed.”

    There it is again, “blessed” – grating from anyone else, but purely angelic from Lily Aldridge.
