Maasai Mara, Kenya
A riverbank teeming with wildlife provides the backdrop to a camping trip with a difference. Rekero Camp involves ‘true camping’ (think fires, awnings, and drifting off to sleep to the sounds of not-too-distant animals) but without being too brutal. The family who run it with the Maasai are kind and hospitable and the locally sourced food is wonderful. We went as a family and had the best holiday of our lives.
