“A gray sweater is a sports-luxe staple.”
“Accessories for this look? Slicked-back hair and chic shades.”

I am not naturally sporty. I have had my moments – running the Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco is a lifetime highlight – but exercise is a decision rather than a passion. Not that you would think it from my closet. Trainers? I have 17 pairs. Gray sweatshirts? 12. I was wearing Nike Flyknits with a leather mini skirt months before Joan Smalls, admittedly not with quite such aplomb. For me, it is the ease of the look; the way an outfit that seems perfectly thrown together can actually be thrown together. It is also the attitude – a sports-luxe woman knows that slouchy can be sexy if you pick your pieces well.
