The evidence is in: we are turning into a generation of night owls
– tossing and turning our way to sleep, scrolling through smartphones
at 4am and blinking, bleary-
eyed through the next day – only to do
it all again the following night.
The latest figures show that one in
four people suffers from insomnia ("the inability to initiate sleep, maintain
sleep or waking too early") and that women are nine times more likely tocredits
