Pastel colors are always getting hijacked for spring. That is simply the way of the fashion world. Soft pink, baby blue, lilac, peach… They have, thanks in no small part to Hallmark Cards and the Easter period in general, become semaphoric for rebirth, renewal, baby chicks and sickly milk-chocolate eggs. Indeed, the mere thought of these saccharine colors reminds me of that horrid feeling I get after pilfering my children’s Easter baskets once they have gone to bed.
Thank goodness, then, that pastels have been reclaimed by the spring/summer 2014 runways in a stylish, ultra-modern
