Editors’ Notes

The story of Vacheron Constantin's 'Historiques American' watch dates back to 1921, when the house created a limited-edition model for US motorists with a 45-degree tilted dial - the idea was to improve legibility while the wearer's hand was rested on the steering wheel. True to its roaring '20s roots, this alligator-strapped timepiece features an 18-karat pink gold cushion case with a uniquely tipped crown and Art Deco-inspired Arabic numerals. The manual movement is just as considered - it's painstakingly decorated with Côtes de Genève, perlage and chamfering, and marked with a Geneva Seal.

Wear it with: LVIR Dress.
