As a child of the ’90s, Georgiana Huddart has a natural affinity for the decade’s style. Throughout the course of our conversation, which takes place over Zoom from her home in West London, she namechecks the Spice Girls (her earliest fashion crush), Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy as enduring muses. “I love that they were all un-styled yet always looked chic,” she says.
Huddart takes a similar approach to her own wardrobe, which is defined by a carefully curated edit of high-quality staples – think close-fitting tanks, supple leather jackets and perfectly cut denim – in a clean, monochrome palette. “My style has always been pretty simple. I’m six foot three and I don’t love to be the center of attention, so I stick to a uniform that always makes me feel good,” she says. She describes her style as “tomboy-ish”, practically lives in jeans and doesn’t subscribe to trends. But she’s not averse to some sparkle or a sheer finish when the occasion calls for it and likes to elevate outfits with a touch of lace or broderie anglaise. “I love the look and feel of anything tactile,” she shares.
As co-founder and creative director of Hunza G, Huddart has an eye for detail and understands the importance of fabric and the perfect fit. It’s why she felt compelled to relaunch the iconic swimwear brand (originally founded in 1984) over a decade ago, after becoming fixated with its Original Crinkle material – the very same she remembers her mother wearing growing up. “I bought everything that I could find on the internet that was old Hunza. I was obsessed with the tactility of the fabric, but also the iconic element of it,” she says. The magic of the unique, one-size-fits-all material lies in its accordion-like stretch, which moves with – and sculpts to – the body, all the while offering complete coverage and support. “We redeveloped it so that the longevity of the piece is really considered, but also the recovery. Women can wear it during pregnancy – or any time their body changes – as well as postpartum and it won’t lose its shape,” she explains.
But it isn’t just the crinkle that fans such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hailey Bieber and Rihanna are all obsessed with – the colors and ’80s-inspired shapes are pretty iconic, too. Always one step ahead in knowing what her customer wants, Huddart has been careful to preserve and embrace the brand’s heritage while offering product that feels fresh and wearable right now. It’s a feat reflected in Hunza G’s recent collaboration with fellow British heritage brand Burberry – an edit of high-cut swimsuits and bikinis trimmed with the latter’s timeless checks, all available at NET-A-PORTER. “It felt unexpected (the best collaborations often are) yet made total sense,” says Huddart. “We are both outdoor brands; we just sit on different sides of the British weather.”
Here, she shares her favorite outfit formulas and the chic uniform of failsafe staples she swears by for the office and beyond…
For a confidence boost
“I enjoyed wearing this full Bottega Veneta look. The blazer has these amazing textured lapels, which as a lover of tactile fabrics, is something I was immediately drawn to. It made me feel quite powerful, like I could do anything. I would wear it to work meetings but it’s also something I could wear casually, too.”

“I actually bought this entire Saint Laurent outfit because I’m going to Cannes for a Burberry event and I know that it will make me feel really great. It’s cool but casual, very slick and very simple. Wherever you go, you wouldn’t be underdressed or overdressed. I wore it with an amazing belt and such good shoes. Then I had this tiny, shimmery handbag, [also by Saint Laurent] – I’m obsessed with anything miniature.”
“I like casual pieces that feel quite slick and double denim always looks so strong, especially with heels”
For not-so-casual Fridays
“The biggest luxury for me really is finding good-fitting jeans because I spent my whole teens in trousers that were too short. I tried on some amazing jeans on the shoot; they were so good I bought both pairs.”
“This is the kind of outfit that would make me feel like I wasn’t trying too hard. I like casual pieces that feel quite slick and double denim always looks so strong, especially with heels. These Gianvito Rossi sandals were my favorite shoes from the whole shoot.”

For a dinner invitation
“This look is slightly smarter and more of an evening outfit. I think it would look chic at a dinner that’s not black tie. The older I’ve got, the more I love sheer clothing, which is quite strange; but I love a sheer top with a bra.”
“This look didn’t need many accessories – just jewelry. I wore an incredible oval-shaped diamond ring from By Pariah and a lot of Sophie Bille Brahe, too.”
