How Team NET-A-PORTER Style Their Favorite FW25 Looks
Three of our fashion experts share the new-season pieces they’re investing in – plus, their go-to styling tricks
Huda Durrani, product writer
How would you describe your fall style? “It’s very multifaceted and depends on my mood and the occasion. Most of the time, my style is very feminine. I draw a lot of inspiration from the Art Deco period – I wear a lot of skirts, and I like delicate details such as ruffles, embroidery, bows, and lace – but I tend to opt for darker tones and a lot more leather in the fall. That being said, there will be days when all I want to wear is a shirt and pants, like I do in the shoot.”
Which is your favorite look from the shoot? “It has to be the Khaite look. Catherine Holstein is one of my favorite designers, and I just love how polished this coat is. It’s also a bit oversized, so great for layering and really comfortable, too. When it comes to a capsule wardrobe, it’s worth investing in something that you can wear almost every day, and this coat ticks that box.”
“I try not to be led by trends too much but I’ll lean into things that complement my existing style, such as the ‘pretty power dressing’ trend – it speaks to both my feminine and masculine sides
”
What silhouettes are you most drawn to in fall? “I’m most drawn to slouchier silhouettes because I love layering, especially knitwear, which is my favorite item of clothing. I’ll start with something loose like an oversized sweater and pair it with slim pants, then polish it off with a sharp accessory – something that has a bit of structure.”
What accessories are on your fall wish list? “I wear earrings every day and feel incomplete without them, so I’m always on the lookout for a new pair with an interesting design detail. I usually wear drop earrings, but I’ve rediscovered studs again recently and spotted a pair by Lié Studio called the ‘Eloise’ that I love.”
Which FW25 trend is your favorite? “I try not to be led by trends too much but I’ll lean into things that complement my existing style, such as the ‘pretty power dressing’ trend – it speaks to both my feminine and masculine sides. Lingerie dressing is another favorite. I love vintage slip dresses and recently bought Dôen’s ‘Coraline’ silk dress from its latest collection to add to my forever wardrobe.”

How would you describe your fall style? “Timeless and refined. I gravitate toward clean lines, neutral tones and beautifully cut pieces that transcend seasons. I love building on my existing wardrobe with thoughtful additions rather than overhauling it each year, so everything feels intentional and wearable season after season.”
Which is your favorite look from the shoot? “That Alaïa suit. It felt powerful yet feminine, and the color was such a fresh departure from my usual palette while still feeling incredibly wearable. Strutting my stuff down the office hallways in an Alaïa power suit? Yes please.”

What’s the one item from the shoot that you’re coveting most? “The black Kallmeyer coat; it’s a forever piece. The cut is impeccable; it works with everything and is the kind of staple that just gets better with time. Plus, as someone who is tall, the length hit just right at the ankle.”
Who are your favorite brands for versatile fall staples? “The Row (always) for elevated basics, Alaïa, for its structural silhouettes, and Nour Hammour, for outerwear that never disappoints. I also often turn to Khaite, Toteme, and Róhe for versatile, in-between-season pieces.”
What accessories are on your fall wish list? “A minimalist black leather tote, a pair of sculptural gold earrings, and a beautifully understated belt. I’m also forever searching for the perfect pair of sleek, black knee-high boots. I spied a pair on the FW25 Khaite runway that might just have to be my splurge piece this season.”

Which is your favorite FW25 trend? “I love autumnal tones – chocolate browns, dark reds, olive green. They feel trend-led but timeless at once. I’m such a neutrals girl, but something about these colors really draws me in, and I usually incorporate them as an accessory or a layering piece.”
What’s the one item in your fall wardrobe that makes you feel most confident? “For me, it’s a tailored long black coat. It sounds so simple, but it’s the one piece I can put on over any outfit and immediately feel put together and polished.”

Who are your favorite brands for versatile fall staples? “I’m the biggest Toteme fan. I have a few coats and knits from the brand, and I think it does fall/winter particularly well. I also discovered Róhe last year and adore the outerwear in its FW25 collection. I feel passionately about a good knit – it’s my favorite thing to invest in come September – and love anything by Loulou de Saison, Lisa Yang, Guest In Residence, and Khaite.”
Which is your favorite look from the shoot? “I’ve never felt cooler than in the Saint Laurent look – it gave me such a sense of confidence.”
What accessories are on your fall wish list? “I love Khaite’s ‘Nevada’ boots. Speaking of Khaite, the ‘Benny’ belt is also on my wish list. I’ve had my eye on it for years, and there’s finally a classic black and gold version that I’d wear with denim or belted over the top of a coat.”
