With feminine, mid-century silhouettes making a welcome return to the runways in recent seasons, it was only a matter of time before the halterneck dress made its way back into our wardrobes. “I used to be much more of a separates girl, but as my style has evolved, I find myself wearing dresses more and more, and I love how flattering halterneck silhouettes are,” says NET-A-PORTER’s buying editor, Abbi Minchin, who has already added Faithfull’s ‘Marais’ midi to her Wish List. From our NET SUSTAIN edit, it’s made using certified linen with a fitted bodice, a plunging neckline that beautifully frames your face and shoulders, and a flowing midi skirt.

“Since my approach to summer dressing is relatively pared back, I’ll wear mine with a simple kitten heel for weddings or barely-there sandals for strolls around town on my next vacation,” Minchin adds. Finally, round things off with a dose of la dolce vita glamour, courtesy of Jacques Marie Mage’s cat-eye ‘Krasner’ sunglasses and a matching red lip.

Speaking of timeless style, Loewe’s ‘Puzzle’ bag became an instant classic when it debuted in 2015, and, 10 years on, we still can’t get enough. The brand’s latest iteration is crafted from panels of smooth leather and textured suede by hand at the brand’s Madrid atelier to create a distinctive striped design inspired by marquetry. The foldable, origami-style construction provides ample space inside for essentials, including AirPods and a pocket diary.

For relaxed getaways, versatile separates that are easy to mix and match will not only make light work of packing, but reduce time spent deciding what to wear when you arrive. Lemaire’s ribbed cotton tank top will go with everything from shorts and drawstring pants to midi skirts – including Sea’s crisp white ‘Camden’ style – and is easy to slip on over a bikini for beachside lunches. Another NET SUSTAIN highlight – and exclusive to NET-A-PORTER – Lido’s ‘Venti’ two-piece comes in a bright sunset shade and has adjustable ties so you can find your perfect fit.

“Sometimes, the only finishing touch an outfit needs is a spritz of perfume, and I’m obsessed with Loewe Perfumes’ new ‘Un Paseo por Madrid Casa de Campo’ scent, which smells like summer to me,” adds Minchin. Capturing the spirit of the Spanish capital, it’s fragranced with green mandarin, blood orange, sandalwood, patchouli and French lavender, all housed in a marble-topped frosted-glass bottle that will look beautiful on your bathroom vanity.
