Color: Gold
Cartier's 'Santos-Dumont' timepiece was first created in 1904 for Alberto Santos-Dumont, a Brazilian aviator - he wanted an alternative to the traditional pocket watch so that he could tell the time without taking his hands off the yoke mid-flight. Staying true to the original, this 38mm iteration has a squared 18-karat rose gold case bordered by eight screws and fastens with an elegant gray alligator strap. The slivered dial has with blued steel sword-shaped hands and easy-to-read Roman numerals, which are both house signatures.
All Cartier watches still within the initial 2-year warranty period under the original International Limited Warranty will be eligible to benefit from a 6-year extension, for a total of 8 years warranty.
