Spring is the perfect time for a wardrobe reset. After all, what could be more satisfying than packing away the heavy winter coats and knits you’ve relied on over the past few months in favor of fewer, lighter layers? It’s also an opportunity to invest in new-season staples that you can wear on repeat from now through to fall.

One such piece is Ami Paris’ oversized wool shirt, which is at the top of NET-A-PORTER shopping assistant Millie Parry’s wish list. “I love the soft butter-yellow hue of this shirt – it will bring a welcome dose of freshness to my wardrobe,” says Parry. But it wasn’t just the color that caught her eye. “The utilitarian buckled strap securing the split back is the type of unexpected detail I’m always looking for when I buy something new,” she adds. “I’ll be wearing mine with Dries Van Noten’s burgundy pinstriped pants to the office and white jeans on weekends.”

Whether your schedule is full of meetings or long lunches, Toteme’s ‘T-Lock’ clutch is a chic way to elevate everyday outfits, as proven by style stars including Katie Holmes, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Tessa Thompson, who have all been spotted out and about with their favorite bag in tow. This version has been crafted in Italy from light-brown suede and has a curved top that makes it comfortable to tuck under your arm – plus, it comes with a detachable strap, so you can carry it crossbody, too.

A lightweight jacket you can wear on repeat is essential at this time of year, making The Row’s ‘Ness’ jacket a worthy addition to your collection. It’s crafted from Japanese cotton-corduroy in a versatile chocolate shade and has a loose-fitting trucker shape that’s easy to throw on over almost anything. Wear yours on low-key days with a simple tank top and straight-leg jeans, adding Aeyde’s elegant ‘Uma’ ballet flats and a ’90s-inspired shoulder bag, such as Khaite’s snake-effect ‘Lori’ style, for the ultimate off-duty look.

Finishing touches can make all the difference to an outfit, no matter how subtle, and Lié Studio’s ‘The Asta’ hoop earrings are the perfect example. Versatile enough to wear all day and to any event, they’re crafted from sterling silver and have a beautiful shine that will illuminate your complexion.
