What does the perfect 48 hours in Cannes look like? Last weekend we found out, as we celebrated our exclusive Aquazzura capsule with an incredible lineup of picture-perfect locations, exclusive partying and the ultimate morning-after-the-night-before lunch on the Côte d’Azur. Friends of NET-A-PORTER and Aquazzura were invited for a golden-hour soirée at the iconic Palais Bulles overlooking the ocean, an Aquazzura-filled dance floor and a delicious restorative lunch at the newly reopened Tetou on La Croisette. What better way to toast this exciting new collection than a night to remember?
The Who
Aquazzura’s Edgardo Osorio and NET-A-PORTER CEO Heather Kaminetsky were joined by models Poppy Delevingne, Cindy Bruna and Charli Howard, mother and daughter duo Nicky and Kathy Hilton, plus a host of fashion editors and EIPs to celebrate the occasion in style.

The What
On their first night in Cannes, guests arrived at the Palais Bulles – an architectural masterpiece designed by Hungarian architect Antti Lovag, renowned for its distinctive bubble design – for a magical evening celebrating Aquazzura’s capsule collection for NET-A-PORTER.
As invitees made their way around the spectacular grounds (stopping for picturesque, architectural photo ops on route), they were served cocktails and canapés before dinner was served.
On the menu, the finest fresh oysters, sea bass ceviche, beef tagliata and an assortment of miniature desserts, including yuzu and raspberry tartlets and lemon basil sorbet, from the prestigious Potel et Chabot. An exquisite waved-shaped chrome buffet table lined with floral bouquets, sculptural silverware and Champagne-filled ice buckets made an impressive centerpiece.
The party continued late into the night with DJ Baptiste Caffrey on the decks as guests mingled by the pool, posed for photographs in the Palais Bulles’ domed windows and danced beneath the stars.
The festivities didn’t end there. The following day, the party gathered once more for lunch at Tetou, a storied beachfront restaurant that recently reopened its doors on La Croisette following an eight-year hiatus. As the afternoon went by and guests caught up on the previous evening’s events, they enjoyed a selection of delicious signature dishes, from chilled local sea bass to lobster served with Provençal tomatoes and rice gratin.

The Wear
Naturally, everyone in attendance wore their favorite Aquazzura shoes, which proved to be the perfect South of France sandals. Poppy Delevingne took to the dance floor wearing the ‘Mystic Stone’ mules with her Clio Peppiatt mini while Cindy Bruna styled her Alaïa dress with a pair of ‘Amina’ flats, both in shimmering metallics and highlights from the exclusive capsule.
Elsewhere, Nicky Hilton and Kitty Spencer opted for the brand’s iconic ‘Tequila’ sandals – one of the brand’s signature designs – in yellow and white leather respectively. Brand consultant Michal Kurtis and content creator Bianca Brandolini, on the other hand, kept things classic with sandals in black suede.
Since the second day was spent on a sandy beach, many guests sensibly opted either for a pair of on-trend wedges or effortlessly chic flats. Writer and model Charli Howard looked vacation-ready in Aquazzura’s ‘You and I’ wedge heels, which she styled with a Versace dress, while Poppy Delevingne swapped her dancing shoes for a pair of coin-embellished ‘Florin’ sandals to complement her Oséree mini.
