The micro trend: Out-and-about loungewear
Hi-lo, understated, simplistic… call it what you will, but effortless off-duty dressing – as championed by the likes of Julie Pelipas and Christine Centenera – is the look to aim for right now. To get it right, you’re going to have to get back to basics. The Range has long been our go-to for directional bodysuits, while fellow New York brand We/Me has quickly acquired a cult following thanks to its ultra-comfortable and equally chic leggings and track pants. London-based Les Girls Les Boys may be a breaking brand, but founder Serena Rees has years of experience designing lingerie (she co-founded Agent Provocateur) – something you can feel at once in the fit, which is second to none. From the essential tank tops and jersey pieces to second-skin bodysuits and triangle bras that look great and genuinely offer support (up to a D cup), these designs might be pared-back, but they’ve got the potential to take your look to another level.
