Isabel Marant talks about women, in general, being her muse  - which can be seen with clarity in every one of her feel-good designs. Recent collections of the Parisian powerhouse's tops are quintessentially Marant - ruffles, prints and cinched waists can be seen in abundance, as can '80s- style shoulders and structured overlays. Even plain-ish T-shirts are given flattering knots at the waist - providing the most natural addition to a pair of Isabel Marant tapered pants.

F/W collections have seen Marant experiment with leather in the form of smooth black and tan shirts, while the designer's pretty lace-trimmed blouses transcend seasons. Blouson sleeves, bohemian prints and gorgeous silk crepe de chine make so many of Marant's tops work just as well tucked into shorts in the summer as relaxed-fit jeans in the winter. Pair them with the label's leather sandals or western-style ankle boots respectively.
