Danielle Lauder’s AM/PM routine
As the great-granddaughter of one of the most famous women in beauty, it comes as no surprise that beauty courses through the blood of DANIELLE LAUDER, who recently launched her own makeup collection, Act IV, in collaboration with Estée Lauder. But what actually makes the grade in her beauty bag and skincare wardrobe? DANIELLE FOX finds out
IN THE MORNING
I ice my entire face to wake me up
I do it for about 10 minutes with an ice cube, and it makes a real difference to any puffiness I might have from the night before. It’s a change I’ve made to my morning regime that seems to work.
I massage my face with a rose-quartz roller
I do this for up to 15 minutes as soon as I wake up. I then apply a toner or clarifying lotion, such as Estée Lauder Micro Essence Skin Activating Treatment Lotion.
I sometimes put a mask on in the morning
I occasionally do this before applying makeup, depending on how my skin is. I always use Advanced Night Repair all over my face and neck and a cooling under-eye roll-on. To finish, I apply one of my Estée Lauder Act IV Luxe Lip Crèmes.
I swear by beet juice
It’s so energizing for my brain and body, particularly before a workout. I usually add carrot, apple and ginger, too. I also drink celery juice when my digestion is a little sluggish, and I swear by B12 vitamins for maintaining energy.
IN THE EVENING
My grandmother Evelyn Lauder taught me the importance of self-care, skincare and sunscreen
When I was little, she would always make me drink an entire bottle of water and cover my body in sunscreen before I left the house. From her, I learnt the benefits of having a routine and putting work into your skincare regimen.
Every evening, I mask and pamper myself
I put on a bathrobe and steam my face. I then apply one of my favorite masks, such as Advanced Night Repair, or try a new one. I follow with an LED face mask, which has made a real difference to my skin. I then always like to stretch in the dark for about 30 minutes before I go to sleep – to help with my blood flow and to get me out of my head.
I love working out my face
Stretching, massage and microcurrents really help to tone, tighten and lift my skin. I love going to FaceGym, facialist Georgia Louise, The Beauty Sandwich, Skin Thesis, and The Tox for lymphatic drainage.
On my bedside table…
…you’ll fine makeup-remover wipes, Aquaphor and always a rose-quartz face roller.
