A new season ushers in a mild dose of wardrobe panic among even the most seasoned shoppers. Fortunately, one brand that understands exactly what women want to wear right now is Frame. The LA-based brand is a fashion insider go-to for good denim, as demonstrated here by impossibly cool model Erin Wasson. Put plainly, if you’re experiencing wish list overwhelm, let Frame act as a reminder that a strong edit of fashion staples is all you need season after season.
The Frame fall wardrobe can be distilled down to the following: classic jeans that have an awareness of trends stitched in, great knits to wear on repeat, unisex shirting and jackets that have a nostalgic flair. Wasson’s denim essentials? “‘The Cuffed’ – dark indigo jeans that feel very ’50s and have a daytime energy; ‘The Rodeo’ – a lovely classic and sensual fit for night time; and ‘The Ruler’ – the perfect bespoke wash that feels like you found the perfect vintage denim without having to do the dig.”
“Since its inception, Frame has stayed on course with its perfect, cute fits and washes,” explains Wasson of the label’s enduring appeal. “The brand takes the guessing game out of classic dressing, elevating your day-to-day looks to stay confident.”
The other essential ingredient in Frame’s effortlessly cool fall capsule wardrobe? A version of the quintessential leather jacket, inspired by ’50s and ’60s styles and made modern with a precise high collar, oversized flap pockets and ribbed trims to really nip in the waist. Crafted from ultra-soft leather, ‘The Harrington’ jacket is as comfortable as the knitwear Frame clients keep going back for. Speaking of which, you’re going to want to earmark the ‘Teddy’ cardigan – a brushed cashmere style, cropped to act as the perfect pairing for the brand’s high-waisted pants.
“What makes Frame special is that it continues to evolve, whether that’s through modern designs or conscious fabrications
”
Frame has come a long way since Jens Grede and Erik Torstensson joined forces in 2012 to try and formulate the perfect pair of blue skinny jeans. Soon everyone from supermodels Cindy Crawford and Karlie Kloss to celebrities such as Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson were spotted in the kind of chic silhouettes that women are always on the hunt for: wearable pieces that hold their shape and stand the test of time.
What makes Frame special is that it continues to evolve, whether that’s through modern designs or conscious fabrications. Much of the denim now is made using at least 50 per cent lower-impact materials or ingredients, and cult styles such as ‘The Collegiate’ and ‘The Vertical’ can be found in our NET SUSTAIN edit of consciously crafted designs.
The key this season is how to put a personal spin on the staples everyone is snapping up. For Wasson, it’s easy. “Keep it simple,” she asserts. “Denim on denim will never fail, paired with strong and personal accessories. I love having many eyewear options around to quickly bring a simple outfit into something filled with panache.” Through fall, party season and beyond, you’ll always find the right fit with Frame.
