From plaid and herringbone to tweed and houndstooth, this season has seen a resurgence of heritage fabrics traditionally associated with the British countryside, where dressing appropriately for the outdoors is essential – and where designers sought inspiration for FW24. An effortless way to embrace the trend, Arch4’s ‘Sloane’ sweater is spun from the finest Mongolian cashmere and embroidered with white stitching to mirror the vibrant argyle intarsia.

“Who doesn’t love a cozy knit for winter?” asks NET-A-PORTER’s junior fashion editor Sabina Khan. “As we head into the holiday season, I’ve been eagerly searching for the perfect addition for my closet – and Arch4’s ‘Sloane’ sweater promises to keep me warm and stylish on frosty mornings. Not only is it luxurious, but it’s also part of our NET SUSTAIN edit and exclusive to NET-A-PORTER.”

When it comes to styling, keep things casual with Agolde’s ‘Balloon’ jeans, Déhanche’s snake-effect ‘Hollyhock’ belt (another NET SUSTAIN highlight) and an oversized field jacket. “When heading out, I’d pair it with relaxed, slouchy denim and sturdy boots for a laid-back feel – perfect for a day of errands or a coffee date,” Khan says. “If I’m staying mostly indoors, it will feel just as indulgent styled with Le Monde Béryl’s soft corduroy flats (also exclusive to NET-A-PORTER) and fine-knit socks, adding an extra layer of comfort,” she adds.

For dinner or drinks, swap your slouchy knit for a blazer. Faithfull’s ‘Lena’ style is beautifully tailored in a softly structured double-breasted shape from wool-blend twill and comes in classic beige. It’s the perfect way to elevate jeans, but also looks great styled with a midi skirt for dressier events. Then add Stuart Weitzman’s knee-high ‘Bella’ boots, which are detailed with equestrian-style buckled straps and are comfortable enough to wear from day to night.

Last but by no means least, pop in Uncommon Matters’ gold vermeil ‘Billow’ hoops and reach for Gucci’s ‘Jackie’ bag – updated this season in glossy bottle-green leather – for a look that exudes timeless polish.
