Christian Louboutin's iconic lacquered soles were created by accident in 1993 when the designer spotted one of his assistants painting their nails. He took the polish and applied it to a prototype, transforming the soles from black to statement red. Set on sky-high stiletto heels, these 'Hot Chick Sling' pumps are made from glossy patent-leather with curved slingback straps.
