GABRIELA HEARST Mel paneled frayed silk-twill and merino wool maxi skirt

Gabriela Hearst began her Spring '23 design process with an abstract collage of black, ivory and gold shapes - it dictated the collection's restrained color palette. A version of the dress walked down the runway, this 'Mel' skirt is cut from fluid silk-twill and paneled with contrasting merino wool at the waist. Notice how the maxi hem is beautifully frayed.
