Most Wanted: Style Odyssey
A curated roundup of trending arrivals, hand-picked by our editors
A film as epic as Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey calls for an equally epic ‘tourdrobe’ – and the cast did not disappoint. Zendaya and her longtime stylist Law Roach delivered their best method-dressing campaign to date. At the world premiere in London, the actor took to the red carpet in not one, but two standout looks. The first was a molded porcelain-effect bustier and a luminous fringed skirt that was pulled directly from Schiaparelli’s FW26 Haute Couture show in Paris just hours before, and the second was an elegant Valentino gown complete with Grecian-inspired draping and a leaf-appliquéd bodice.
Zendaya wasn’t the only one who served seriously fierce outfits during the press tour. Lupita Nyong’o, who portrays Helen of Troy, has appeared in several goddess-like gowns with metallic finishes so beautiful, they too could launch a thousand ships. Elsewhere, Anne Hathaway masterfully honored the theme, styling her growing baby bump in ethereal creations worthy of her role as Queen Penelope. Charlize Theron, on the other hand, has taken a less literal approach, instead opting for sharp tailoring and statuesque silhouettes that pay a subtle homage to the film via fluid fabrics and sculptural folds.

Let their looks inspire your own red-carpet-worthy style moment by stepping out in Vivienne Westwood’s ‘Iwona’ gown for a black-tie event or rehearsal dinner. Crafted from cady in the color of a Greek sculpture, it has a fitted bodice that accentuates the body and a draped off-the-shoulder neckline. Wear it with Manolo Blahnik’s ‘Tibula’ heels in bronze leather, complementing the metallic hue with gold jewelry by Nikos Koulis, Fernando Jorge and YSSO.
For a more playful nod to Ancient Greece, try Aflalo’s ‘Siren’ mini. It’s cut from a beautiful plissé fabric inspired by softly pleated classical garments and comes in a trending chartreuse hue. “I love how easy this Aflalo dress is to style in summer,” says NET-A-PORTER shopping editor Viktorija Tomasevic. “I’d wear it with Christen’s ‘Edge T-Strap’ sandals and Le Sundial’s fringed velvet ‘Lee’ pouch for a late-night drinks in the city, or on vacation with Dries Van Noten’s braided leather sandals and Paola Sighinolfi’s exquisite ‘Delphine’ necklace – the perfect outfit for sundowners by the sea.”
