Carolina Santo Domingo

This LA-based label only launched last year, but we’ve already spotted the geometric lines of Carolina Santo Domingo’s Amphora bag neatly cradled in the arms of Arizona Muse and Jessica Alba. All handmade in Italy, Santo Domingo’s bags unfailingly hit that perfect balance between modern and timeless, making them so much more than a one-season wonder.

Tara Zadeh

Those cute, circular, multi-colored bags you kept seeing on Instagram over fashion month? They are the work of Iranian designer Tara Ghazanfar. Having grown up in the US and Paris before settling in London to launch her handbag line Tara Zadeh (named after her mother), the Parsons graduate takes inspiration from the mosaics and columns in the beautiful buildings of her homeland, then produces her designs in the small town of Ubrique, Spain. The result? The best of all her worlds in one very covetable bag.

By Far

With Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy and Sofia Coppola as brand muses, and Kate Bosworth and Karlie Kloss as fans, By Far is definitely one to watch – and wear. Co-founders Valentina Bezuhanova, Sabina Gyosheva and Denitsa Bumbarova started the label because they couldn’t find shoes they loved. Their designs, handmade in Bulgaria from leftover pieces of leather in an impressive bid for sustainability, are cool and conscious. An exciting debut.

St. Agni

Crafted from supple leather in beachy woven finishes, St. Agni’s backless loafers feel like walking through the softest sand. The couple behind the brand, Lara and Matt Fells, work with local artisans in Australia’s Byron Bay to create shoes that are as ethically well intentioned as they are well designed. Styled simply with raw-hem jeans and a loose cotton tee, consider them the perfect foundation for your vacation wardrobe.
