“Prior to a vacation, when my legs will get more exposure than usual in swimsuits and dresses, I like to give them a little extra TLC. I love lymphatic-drainage treatments and try to book in for them as regularly as I can. To maintain the results following a treatment, I dry-brush every day, too. Supergoop!’s Glowscreen is another daily essential that I love – and at least two tubes come with me on a trip. Super-light and non-comedogenic, it can be used as a primer, but when I’m away, I use it on its own to create a dewy complexion and protect me from the sun – it’s a true hero product. Makeup, meanwhile, isn’t much of a priority when I’m on the beach or by the pool, but the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette Volume III is a travel must-have. A light dusting over the face enhances a radiant glow and makes your skin look flawless. I love this deeper shade range for summer when I’m tanned, too. Hair-wise, I’m thrilled that The Steam Bar has returned to London this summer. I love their scalp and steam treatments – and my hair never looks better after a trip there. Their products really are skincare for the scalp, so great while you’re somewhere hot – and to keep my hair in tip-top condition between appointments.”

“When traveling, my tendency is to take all my can’t-live-withouts with me. But, over the years, I’ve learned to whittle them down to a select few items that can truly multi-task and work for day, night, beach or bar. As someone with very sensitive skin, my first port of call (after Ultra Violette’s Future Fluid SPF50+ Superlight Mineral Skinscreen) is a serum that works for everyday use, but also as a skin SOS for sun-, sand- and heat-overload. MZ Skin’s Calming Rescue Serum is the winner here. It hydrates, soothes, protects against free radicals and visibly reduces redness (I add a few more layers when using as a post-sun salve). Next, a good face mist, like La Prairie’s Skin Caviar Mist, works under and over makeup – it’s great for refreshing skin while on the airplane, as well as for hydrating top-ups when sightseeing or sunbathing. A newer addition to my travel kit is Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Glow Cream – it’s your glow drops and hyaluronic-acid serum in one, for instantly plumped-up skin with natural-looking radiance. For added luminosity, a slick of Westman Atelier’s Lit Up Highlight Stick in Nectar (a golden peach) on the tops of my cheekbones, the center of my eyelids and even on lips, paired with two generous coats of Guerlain’s Mad Eyes Mascara, is my go-to hot-weather daytime look – while Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Bitten Lip Tint (I love Chérie, a sheer rose) delivers an instant hit of glam in the evening. Finally, Oribe’s Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil is equally part daily essential (use a few drops on dry hair), part protecting treatment (I slick it all over, from root to tips, before a pool or salt-water dip.) Save for the face mist, which I keep with me when traveling, everything goes in Anya Hindmarch’s transparent ‘Double Decker’ cosmetics case for easy, visible access.

“MZ Skin’s Anti-Pollution Hydrating Face Mask is one of my top recent travel essentials (second only to all-important SPF) and came recommended by the NET-A-PORTER beauty team. Perfect for popping on after a day at the beach (store it chilled in the minibar), it instantly cools you down, restores skin’s moisture and brings a glow back to sun-soaked skin. I smooth on one of my favorite face serums (I’m obsessed with the plumping goodness of Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare’s Derminfusions Fill + Repair Serum), then pop the mask on to help it really penetrate. I also apply a generous amount of SPF50 to my face every day, and Noble Panacea’s The Energist Multi-Defence Cream SPF50 is wonderful for adding a moisture boost to help counteract the drying effects of air-con and pool chlorine. I also try my best to keep my face out of the sun – Brunello Cucinelli’s bucket hat comes in useful here. Lastly, no vacation cosmetics case is complete without a summer fragrance, one that will instantly evoke blissful vacation memories in a single spritz once you’re back home. Le Labo’s Santal 33 Eau de Parfum is one of my go-tos, and also comes in a 15ml size is ideal for squeezing into my carry-on.”

“Moisture-drenched and (safely) sun-kissed are my goals for summer skin. I forego the heavier creams I use in colder months and opt for a lightweight serum – Huda Beauty’s Thirst Trap Juice HA3 Peptide Serum is brilliant for guaranteeing a dewy, bouncy complexion – and a really good SPF, which I diligently reapply during the day. 111Skin’s Repair Sunscreen SPF 50 is almost magically weightless (and layers seamlessly over skincare and under makeup), while delivering potent protection. As for makeup, a new favorite is Charlotte Tilbury’s Sheer Glow Foundation Stick – the creamy, hydrating formula swipes on easily for my dream luminous-but-barely-there finish – followed by a little concealer and bronzer, a moisturizing lip balm and a slick of sweat-resistant waterproof mascara. At the end of the day, I do a double-cleanse to ensure every reapplied layer of SPF gets thoroughly removed. And a 111Skin sheet mask is the perfect post-swim vacation pick-me-up to keep my skin feeling thoroughly nourished.”

“As someone who gets slightly overwhelmed choosing beauty products, I tend to keep my summer skincare routine relatively simple. My skin is quite dry, so after cleansing and toning, I always use hyaluronic acid for a dose of deep hydration. I’ve recently discovered the wonders of peptides (late to the party, I know) and now use them religiously to help boost collagen production and brighten my complexion. I’m obsessed with Medik8’s ‘Liquid Peptides’ serum, which tackles fine lines, dullness and dryness in one fell swoop. I don’t like to use anything too heavy on my skin, especially in warmer weather, so I opt for gel moisturisers (Tatcha’s ‘The Water Cream’ is brilliant) over thicker creams during the day, followed by a broad-spectrum SPF50, always. As for makeup, I love to use a stick foundation in summer (Merit’s The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick is a current favorite), as it’s light, buildable and easy to pop into my carry-on when traveling.”
