Introducing Chloé X Atelier Jolie: This Year’s Most Covetable Collaboration

In her latest role, ANGELINA JOLIE is launching a chic, considered collection with Parisian fashion powerhouse Chloé – and it’s as elegant as it is ethical

Actor, filmmaker, humanitarian. Now, Academy Award-winner Angelina Jolie can add another title to her impressive résumé: designer and founder of Atelier Jolie. Anticipation for Jolie’s debut design outing has been high ever since plans for a fashion brand were announced in 2023. From the off, it was clear that the famously philanthropic campaigner had big ambitions for what her label could achieve, and Atelier Jolie was immediately billed as a collective; a space for collaborators to discover, create, and grow together.

Atelier Jolie has now officially launched and its collaboration with Parisian maison Chloé is the perfect first chapter. Co-designed by Jolie, the capsule draws on her own signature aesthetic, delivering a highly personal, considered edit of pieces that reference off-duty minimalism and elegant eveningwear.

An elevated effortlessness punctuates the collection, so don’t expect wear-rarely gowns. Instead, pieces are given a modern perspective, with designs gently exploring the nuances of femininity. Simultaneously romantic and powerful, the capsule invites repeat-wear, and has been created with a variety of body sizes in mind. Executed in a pared-back palette of black, white, bronze and brown, the luxurious, neutral hues are designed to complement a broad range of skin tones, too.

Standout garments include sinuous silk slip dresses with delicate spaghetti straps, easy cami tops, and relaxed tuxedo pants. Chiming with the label’s effortless persuasion, silk separates are teamed with just-so slouchy cashmere knits and natty waistcoats, while a velvet opera cape and tailored maxi coat provide a swish of after-dark drama.

Chloé x Atelier Jolie is also a meeting of minds, principles and ethics. Befitting both Jolie and B Corp-certified Chloé’s commitments to social and environmental consciousness, much of the collection is manufactured through Fair Trade enterprises, social enterprises or social sourcing

However, this is more than just a harmonious aesthetic match. Chloé x Atelier Jolie is also a meeting of minds, principles and ethics. Befitting both Jolie and B Corp-certified Chloé’s commitments to social and environmental consciousness, much of the collection is manufactured through Fair Trade enterprises, social enterprises or social sourcing – including Akanjo, a Madagascan social enterprise, and La Fabrique Nomade, which works to promotes professional inclusion for refugee and migrant artisans in France.

As well as an emphasis on people, there is consideration for the planet, too. Chloé x Atelier Jolie makes thoughtful use of materials that are sustainably sourced or made, with the collection incorporating at least 80% lower-impact materials. Those maxi slips, for instance, are crafted from organic silk and organic crepe de chine, qualifying them for NET-A-PORTER’s NET SUSTAIN edit, in the Considered Materials category. Elsewhere, wool gabardines and raw silks are sourced from deadstock, giving them a second life. Indeed, ‘life’ is a key theme that’s stitched into the very heart of the collection; these clothes are designed to be lived in, loved and worn for years to come. And that, as Jolie advocates, is what a stylish – and conscious – silhouette truly looks like.
