It should come as no surprise that, after a year during which many of us were forced to spend more time at home than ever before, interior decorations and pieces that promise to add an air of sophistication to our spaces have never been so in demand. For cult London jewelry label Completedworks – best known for its trompe l’oeil-style ‘scrunchie’ earrings – clay is merely another medium to experiment with. The brand has partnered with artist Ekaterina Bazhenova Yamasaki to create its signature crumpled vases. Whatever color you gravitate towards, these distinctive designs are sure to add elegance to any side table. This year has also seen scented candles rise in unprecedented popularity. If you have trouble switching off after a long day at work – whether you’re going into the office or still stationed at your dining table – the heavenly fragrance of a Diptyque candle is sure to help.

Of course, this new-found domesticity has also had an effect on what we’re wearing, day and night. Fashion assistant Annie Hertikova intends to put an elevated spin on her off-duty look by investing in plush sleepwear. “I’m preparing for winter evenings spent snuggled on the sofa catching up on the latest must-watch TV series. Previously, my loungewear look mostly involved repurposing my activewear; this time around, I want to give it a luxurious feel courtesy of La Perla’s timeless silk pajamas. Comfortable and stylish, slipping into this set is guaranteed to make me look, and feel, much more polished and put together. If I need to pop out for some supplies (read: wine or chocolate), tucking the pajama shirt into a pair of blue jeans makes for an effortless off-duty outfit.”

Vince’s cozy cashmere cardigan has similar wear-with-anything appeal; shrug it on over everything from slip dresses and second-skin turtlenecks for outfits that strike the perfect balance between relaxed and refined. Better yet, take advantage of this year’s defining trend – dressing from the waist up – and pair your knitwear with delicate diamond and pearl jewelry, finishing with Skin’s cashmere slippers for a Zoom-ready ensemble.
