The workwear update: Warm-weather knitwear
When the mercury rises, knitwear is usually sent to the back of our closets behind denim jackets, cotton shirts and light blazers. But for SS19, designers have taken woolly pieces beyond their insulating function and created fashion pieces that are ideal for warm-weather days. Jonathan Anderson continues his exploration of texture at Loewe with an oversized orange sweater – the open-knit weave means you’ll stay cool on even the busiest commutes, while the bright hue will boost fellow passengers’ moods. Pair Stella McCartney’s supremely comfortable wide-leg pants with a classic ’90s mule, or wear Sally LaPointe’s slouchy pale-yellow sweater to add a relaxed vibe to a tailored shorts suit.
