Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele has never been one to shy away from vintage style - it's one of his main sources of inspiration in fact - so it's no surprise to see Gucci's optical glasses collections embrace the oversized shapes of decades gone by. In our edit, expect thin frames in a range of retro-feeling shapes, including square, hexagon and aviator-style designs.

There are more understated iterations too, of course - look out for classic round-frame glasses in simple black acetate, or subtle cat-eye styles with just the right amount of flick. All glasses are made in Italy with exquisite attention to detail, and feature Gucci logo detailing either at the corners of the frames or on the arms. Keep your eyes peeled for pale gold-tone designs, as well as lovely tortoiseshell frames that go with all skin tones. We're wearing ours with sharp tailoring.
