In recent seasons, a slogan tee has become both a sartorial necessity and the ultimate social statement. This year, 20 of our favourite female-led labels and entrepreneurial women we admire have teamed up with NET-A-PORTER’s partner charity, Women for Women International, to create limited-edition pieces in celebration of International Women’s Day. Consider them a fashion-forward way to show your solidarity with women worldwide


Next Sunday, March 8th, marks the 101st International Women’s Day. The holiday, first founded in New York City back in 1909, was initially conceived as a day dedicated to female workers, but has since become a global celebration of women from all walks of life.

Uniting women through storytelling is a cause close to our hearts at PORTER, which is just one of the reasons we’re thrilled to announce that, this year, NET-A-PORTER has collaborated with a number of designers including Isabel Marant and Gabriela Hearst, and pioneering women such as Carine Roitfeld and Charlotte Tilbury, to create a range of 20 limited-edition tops, with 100 percent of the profits going to global charity Women for Women International, which supports women in war-torn areas across the world.

Whether you’re drawn to Ganni’s ’60s-inspired artwork, Stella McCartney’s topical take or Nanushka’s suitably playful spin on Star Wars’ well-known slogan (‘may the femme be with us’), not only will these standout pieces slip effortlessly into your existing closet, they also bring new meaning to the idea of ‘buy better’.
