Shot on location at the Boom Boom Room at The Standard hotel in New York, Oscar de la Renta’s FW22 look book was charged with lively colors, lush textures and diamanté embellishments. And, as models Jordan Daniels, Mayowa Nicholas, Taylor Hill, and Barbara Valente shimmied their way down the runway, it was clear the collection was designed for going ‘out out’.

Inspired by iconic archival pearl prints, diamanté embellishments serve to elevate the collection’s cyan-blue tailored pants and jade-colored turtleneck, transforming them into elegant day-to-night pieces perfect for impromptu parties over the festive season. Indeed, rich adornments mean you can literally add a slick of lipstick and you’re ready to go from an afternoon meeting to cocktail hour.

Elsewhere, the house’s signature rose-garden theme flourishes, with three-dimensional flowers gracing a pair of pink guipure lace shorts. Style them with the twill top in a matching hot-pink hue and you have a playful dinner-to-dance-floor look – just add heels and a dusting of diamonds. Looking for a rosy dress, instead? Look to the collection’s magenta mini, whose voluminous chiffon rosettes provide the perfect pink statement in a room awash with LBDs.
