This Brand Will Always Be Our Go-To For Throw-On-And-Go Summer Dresses
Travel is at the heart of everything FAITHFULL THE BRAND does, and this year, the aesthetic is inspired by the beautiful landscape of the Balearic Islands and the relaxed Mediterranean way of life
Travel has always been the inspiration behind Faithfull The Brand, and each season, the team will focus on different coastal towns to inspire the mood and aesthetic. The latest sun-drenched collection is inspired by the romantic, laid-back spirit of the Mediterranean, using the rustic landscape of the Balearic Islands as the starting point for the design.
These are pieces ideal for long, summer days spent in the Balearic countryside, whether that’s exploring the cliff tops and olive groves of Mallorca or the turquoise coastline of Ibiza. Named Sol De Verano, the collection has a color palette inspired by the rustic setting, with a blend of uplifting citrus shades and warm earth tones, punctuated with azure blues. There is also a ’70s undertone coming through the colors, prints and silhouettes, as the design team deliberately referenced vintage resortwear from this era.
“It is crucial to us that we are not only intimate with every detail of how our products are made but, most importantly, who is making them
”
Faithfull The Brand always creates clothes that have a throw-on-and-go appeal, so you can maximize every moment of your vacation, rather than wasting any time deciding what to wear. The label has built a solid reputation for its summer dresses – the Princess of Wales has worn one of its floral midis and they have become a mainstay on fashion influencers’ Instagram feeds. For this summer, the hero dress is certainly the maxi, as the sundresses almost all have longer hemlines that skim the ankles and bias-cut silhouettes. The standout dresses include a sunshine-yellow maxi with oversized, billowing sleeves and an open back, alongside a spaghetti-strap maxi dress that has a nostalgic floral print with a romantic heather and moss color palette. Both would look beautiful layered over a swimsuit for sundowners at the beach or could be dressed up with the right accessories for destination weddings or special evening plans.
There is a timeless quality to this capsule, with a focus on classic summer basics that can easily mix and match with other items in your suitcase. When it comes to swimwear, there’s a return to simplicity – the key piece is a black triangle halterneck bikini with ties on each hip and delicate gold detailing on the straps. The tangerine maxi skirt with matching bandeau top is another highlight, and is a co-ord you can rely on for every beach vacation.
“Living in Bali and working so closely with local communities, we are able to encourage and support so many amazing Indonesian artisans in crafting beautiful handmade products
”
The resort brand was founded in Indonesia in 2014 and has a considered approach, as each piece is hand-dyed and printed. Community is a core value for co-directors Sarah-Jane Abrahams and Helle Them-Enger – since day one, they have worked with local artisans in Bali and are committed to creating socially responsible garments. In 2021, it became a certified B Corporation, reflecting its commitments to community and thoughtful practices across the entire business. “It is crucial to us that we are not only intimate with every detail of how our products are made but, most importantly, who is making them,” the founders explain on the brand’s website. “Living in Bali and working so closely with local communities, we are able to encourage and support so many amazing Indonesian artisans in crafting beautiful handmade products.”
This brand embodies everything we love about summer travels, and creates joyful clothes you can feel good about buying. We are also certain that the campaign imagery will inspire many to book a trip to the island of Mallorca this summer.
