IN THE MORNING

Celery juice is the one change I’ve made to my mornings

I’ve been drinking celery juice regularly for six months now and because I don’t have the healthiest diet, nor do I drink a lot of water, I’ve found that celery juice really helps balance my body. I drink it on an empty stomach and then follow it with a shot of Marie Reynolds London Repair+ Powder mixed with water. As a result, I’m a lot less bloated.

I inspect my skin in front of a magnifying mirror…

…for a few minutes every morning. I know it sounds a little high-maintenance, but it helps me decide what skincare to use that day. For example, I might need a little bit more brightness or a little more hydration, so I adjust my regime according to how my skin has woken up that morning.

I go for a facial every week…

…because I’m always trying so many products and a facial helps to keep my skin balanced. Also, I’m a bloater so my skin can get a little puffy. My antidote is FaceGym Game Face, which is an electric-muscle-stimulation facial and like a corset for my skin. I also go to Aida Bicaj for microneedling once a month, which is the best thing ever.

I mask every single day…

…but what I do it with really depends on how my skin is behaving. This morning my skin was a little dry and needed exfoliation, so I did a quick enzyme peel. My favorite masks, which I return to time and again, are Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask and La Mer’s sheet masks.

I dry body brush most mornings…

…then I use a hydrating body scrub and follow with a sculpting oil for my legs.

I carry a supplement-pill box with me everywhere

When I need to relax I’ll take some Lord Jones CBD gummies, and I take digestive enzymes every day and find they really help with bloating. I also use Marie Reynolds London 3-Set for skin, gut and mind.

IN THE EVENING

I’m a big preacher of self-care…

…and use an LED mask for half an hour three times a week, and it’s the gift that keeps on giving. I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my skin tone. I also try to go to a meditation class at Inscape or the Woom Center in NYC; anything that helps me escape from daily life and distracts me from my phone really helps me regroup.

I recently had a horrible accident with candle wax…

…where I caught on fire and burnt my fingertips and all down my back – I was hospitalized and off work for a month. I’ve been using La Mer The Concentrate and Augustinus Bader The Body Cream and both have been life-savers and have really fast-tracked the healing process.

I’m a terrible sleeper…

…and try to cut myself off from my phone at 10pm every evening. I’ve had to train myself to limit my social media to an hour and 15 minutes a day – after that my phone locks my Instagram. I ask myself, who am I scrolling for? I post what I need to, engage with my audience and then shut off. Do I always stick to it? No, but it does make me more mindful about my time.

Right now I’m reading…

Living in a Mindful Universe by Eben Alexander and How to Change Your Mind by Michael Pollan – I’m really fascinated by spirituality, how our minds work and why we are here. On my bedside table I also have a face roller, my gratitude journal and a pillow spray.

Every night, I spray magnesium around my neck

I’m obsessed with The Nue Co. Magnesium Ease. It might sound a little corny, but I also like to do a nightly check-in with myself about the day I’ve had – was I nice to everyone? Do I need to apologize to anyone? What am I grateful for today? It really helps me go to sleep easier.

The best piece of beauty advice is…

…to stay out of the sun, period. And try not to stress; it can break down your skin’s DNA, which leads to ageing.
