Nathalie Schyllert’s AM/PM routine
As CEO of cult wellness brand Bodyism and a former ballerina with the Swedish Royal Ballet, Nathalie Schyllert’s energizing wellness regimen is all about exercise, fat-busting massages and fueling her body right
AM
My day starts at 6:30am…
…when I make breakfast for my family: either quinoa porridge or healthy waffles using spelt flour, bananas and eggs. I always follow that with a Bodyism Body Brilliance Shake – I make mine with water, an espresso shot, half a banana and a pinch of cinnamon. It’s so delicious and gives a real burst of energy.
I workout five times a week…
…at Bodyism (I know, I’m lucky it’s work), alternating from more intensive bodyweight and ballet classes to Pilates and yoga. Music helps me workout and I have my own ‘Nat Up’ playlist (a mix of house music) for when I need some extra energy and a ‘Nat Chill’ playlist (a mix of Tracy Chapman, Lauryn Hill and the Kings of Leon) when I want to slow down and find some calm.
Dark circles are my biggest problem area…
…I have tried hundreds of concealers. My ideal concealer is heavy duty in coverage, but light in texture. I used to get lash extensions to help detract from my dark circles, but I’ve stopped because I became paranoid I would lose my natural lashes. I now use a Guerlain mascara that thickens my lashes and elongates them without dropping under my eyes.
I get an organic spray tan…
…especially before I go on vacation – the color seems to always last a little bit longer and doesn’t go orange. But to get my daily glow I use Nars Blush in Deep Throat high up on my cheekbones, which lifts my skin tone.
I rarely eat red meat…
…instead, I prefer fish, seafood, quinoa and eggs as a source of protein, and I eat good quality olive oil, coconut oil, nuts and avocado to get my fats.
PM
I’ve upped my anti-aging game…
…as I’m turning 37 this year, so I’ve started using Dr. Barbara Sturm Super Anti-Aging Serum followed by La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream, which I use year-round.
Once a week I have a body-shaping massage…
…it’s a cellulite-busting massage that shapes my waist and works on the muscle layer between the skin so you’re working on the fat tissue, which supposedly speeds up the metabolism and rids the body of toxins. I also swear by booking a massage the day after flying – it works wonders on water retention.
I work until I go to sleep…
…it’s the only way I can fit in emails and admin from the day; I tend to fall sleep around 10pm.
If I’m feeling stressed…
On my bedside table…
…is always a glass of room temperature water, a coconut oil lip balm and earplugs.
