Sergio Rossi began to craft sandals that he would later go on to sell at the beautiful beaches of Rimini and in Bologna. From the brand’s collaboration and committed partnership with Gianni Versace during the 1970s, Rossi became a Milanese sensation. His exceptional eye for detail and astute predictions for future trends were admired by numerous fashion houses around Italy, leading him to consult with numerous brands. With his time in high demand, Sergio Rossi had no choice but to become selective in his collaborations. In time, the brand became closely linked to some of the industry’s leading names, including Azzedine Alaïa and Dolce & Gabbana.
