My favorite way to start the year is with a cleanse. We do a month of clean eating at home based on Taryn Toomey’s anti-inflammatory dietary detox, The Layer. It can be difficult, but my mood is always calmer and my energy more sustainable.

I love a good lymphatic-drainage massage to reset my skin, but I’ve discovered some amazing at-home devices, too: ReFa does a great face and body roller that tightens and tones the skin with microcurrents. I also love a relaxing bath – Pursoma’s Digital Detox Bath Soak is really good for drawing out impurities.

My eyeshadow lift trick is so refreshing. First, use a soft, pale eyeshadow as a highlight at the outer corner of your eyes. Next, apply a darker shade above it, sweeping up and out, in almost a winged shape – this makes the eye look instantly lifted. For an easy refresh, play around with creating your custom blush color; a soft rose shade with a touch of fuchsia is so pretty and instantly wakes up the skin. I love adding the same blush shade to lips, too.

I meditate daily. In the morning, it helps me start the day with a positive mindset; at night, it’s a great way to unwind and let go of the day.

My infrared sauna blanket is great for detoxifying. Afterwards, my skin is glowing – and I’ve definitely noticed that I’m more relaxed and in a better mood.

Drinking celery juice has elevated my health. It’s such a good anti-inflammatory and has really helped my digestion and improved my energy levels.

I use my Kora Organics turmeric mask in the shower, as it wakes up the skin and senses and feels like a spa in the shower. It has peppermint aromatherapy, which is really invigorating – especially when it mixes with the steam. You can use it as a scrub or let it dry as a leave-on mask to deeply exfoliate the skin while the turmeric brightens it.

My recharge ritual delivers the best skin glow, so even if your body or brain is still tired, your skin will get that extra glow and feel alive. First, I use the TriPollar Stop Vx with radio frequency to contour and tighten my face. Next, I apply Natura Bissé’s Stabilizing Cleansing Mask, which really cleans my pores – I keep it in the refrigerator and use it for my favorite fire and ice facial. Then I follow with the Clé de Peau Beauté Precious Gold Vitality Mask – with real 24k gold, it nourishes and leaves a natural radiance. I finish with my U Beauty Resurfacing Compound, the Super Smart Hydrator, and the Multimodal Defender. In three quick steps, my skin is renewed, hydrated and brightened.

One of my must-haves is a humidifier, to counteract the effects of harsh winter weather and AC-controled rooms with less humidity. I also upgrade my skincare routine to incorporate more humectants, such as hyaluronic acid serum and glycerine, for added hydration, bounce and skin elasticity.

Salicylic, glycolic and mandelic acid peels improve skin texture, as does an in-clinic salt facial. Having chemical peels and salt facial exfoliation allows for better absorption of other active ingredients, giving better results with your skincare.

I like vitamin C, too, as it helps to prevent free-radical damage, plus it is very effective for brightening and improving hyperpigmentation – it’s great to pair under sunscreen, as it boosts its effectiveness.

I also believe that you are what you eat. I like my antioxidants in skincare and in my food to reduce inflammation – especially strawberries, blueberries, pecans and broccoli. It’s also important to exercise, and rest, to help diminish the stress hormone, cortisol, which can lead to lots of skin issues, including dryness and breakouts.

I love my Tata Harper steam shower, as the steam helps skin and hair products penetrate better. I have a whole hair ritual that includes double-shampooing; the first wash focuses on the hair and the second on the scalp. I then apply conditioner and, to finish, a hair mask. While the hair mask is on, I do my body routine, too, which includes scrubbing and applying my body oil.

Drinking magnesium and melatonin helps me sleep – especially after traveling. And if I can’t get into a good sleep rhythm, I’ll use my infrared sauna at night.

The Sacred Acoustics app uses recordings to help you accomplish a wide range of healing goals, from getting a good night’s sleep to letting go of mind chatter.

I recharge by having time alone and I have a big smoky quartz in my room, which is supposed to regenerate energy in the body.

Being in nature is such a boost for me. Studies show that the smells in a forest can influence numerous metabolic processes, and the negative ions (found in a dense forest) absorbed through our skin and lungs can help to lower inflammation, reduce stress and boost serotonin levels.

I take time on my body care, dry-brushing before applying my Dr. Barbara Sturm Anti-Aging Body Cream, and I like to apply my Face Mask (on my body) for an extra glow. I love a milk bath (I add a carton of fresh milk to the bath), as it’s full of nourishing vitamins and minerals. You can also add honey for an extra-hydrating and calming effect.

I love a sauna, too – it’s a tremendous tool for skin, overall health and wellbeing, as it’s been clinically shown to improve skin-barrier function and cardiovascular and muscular health. I always use a body lotion afterwards to stop dehydration.
