“Skincare is my real obsession and at this time of year, my regimen needs a post-summer mini overhaul. First, skin peels: depending on how much ‘freshening up’ my skin needs, I use a lighter daily lotion, like the Nannette de Gaspé Essence Noir Tonic with a clever cocktail of AHA, BHA and PHA, which is so good for sensitive and problem skin. Or, for a serious resurface, Natura Bissé’s weekly-use Glyco Extreme Peel is the closest thing I’ve found to an in-clinic peel. Next, a great mask – Cle de Peau’s 3-step Illuminating Concentrate mask kit is one of the best for transforming a dull, weary complexion. Finally, serums: Aurelia’s The Probiotic Concentrate is a brilliant multi-tasker, strengthening the skin’s natural biome to ensure a strong barrier (so skin’s more hydrated and less sensitive) and protecting against pollution, one of the main causes of skin damage and aging.”

“I am a makeup enthusiast, and fall/winter calls for colors and textures. The cooler temperature here in the UK means I can go back to wearing darker eyeshadows and lipsticks, and layering textures on the skin without them slipping. I’m always on the search for medium-to-full coverage that still feels like a lightweight base. The NARS Sheer Glow Foundation is the best I have tried for its dewy finish, and looks beautiful in any light as it gives skin a glow without the shine. For the eyes, I’m using deep bronze and amber shades – Marc Jacobs Beauty’s Fantascene palette is incredible – a mixture of wearable matte and shimmery shades in velvet-like finishes. Lastly, I’ll switch from tinted lip balm or sheer gloss to full-coverage lipstick. I prefer a satin finish as completely matte lips can appear to ‘flatten’ the face – Pat McGrath Labs’ LuxeTrance Lipsticks are the perfect texture.”

“For me, fall signals a more serious approach to my complexion as my skin is more sensitive in colder climes. I’ve spent the last few months using lightweight skincare and fresh tinted bases, but now is the time to prep for colder days ahead. This means transitioning my skincare and opting for richer, cosseting creams such as Sisley At Night The Supreme Anti-Aging Cream, which seems to do something extraordinary to my skin, leaving it velvety soft and seriously plumped. For an extra hit of hydration, I add a couple of drops of Vanderohe No.1 Nourishing Face Serum, a delicious cocktail of organic and calming cold-pressed oils. My next priority is ensuring my concealer can handle the inevitable blemishes and redness that pop up more frequently. I’ve been using Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Away Liquid Concealer for a few weeks now and it’s impressive – the spongy tip blends this heavy-duty concealer into a believable second skin.”
