For Nili Lotan, consistency is key. The New York-based designer treats each collection as an opportunity to build on the wear-forever wardrobe staples that came before (even if they are already perfect) – be it a classic leather jacket with an altered collar, the softest crew neck in a heavier gauge of wool, or a no-frills silk shirt so good you’ll want one in every color. Case in point: the brand’s bestselling ‘Gaia’ shirt, reworked this season in sumptuous ‘Claret’ crepe de chine that’s tumbled for softness and has the most beautiful drape.

“Burgundy remains one of the most coveted shades of the season and one I’m always drawn to, so naturally I couldn’t resist adding Nili Lotan’s shirt to my basket,” says NET-A-PORTER’s junior shopping editor Connie Daw. “The crease-resistant fabric ensures it stays immaculate throughout the whole day, plus it’s light enough to keep you cool at the office while it’s still hot outside. I like to style mine over a tank for an effortless take on seasonal layering,” she adds.

Alternatively, echo the style of Nili Lotan’s Pre-Fall ’25 muse, Betty Catroux, by unbuttoning the collar and rolling the sleeves, then tuck it into a pair of relaxed, wide-leg jeans or The Row’s wool-gabardine ‘Elowyn’ pants if you’re heading to an important meeting – they have a similar nonchalance but are still smart enough for formal settings. Obsessed with mesh ballet flats? Us too. Covered in sparkling bronze crystals, Christopher Esber’s ‘Minette’ design will easily take you from day to night and might just give your favorite heels a run for their money.

Speaking of staples, if you like yours with an unexpected twist, then you’ll love Agolde’s ‘Beth’ tee. From our NET SUSTAIN edit, it’s made from ultra-soft certified organic cotton-jersey with diagonal seams that create a unique, softly gathered shape. Draw attention to the asymmetric neckline by twisting your hair into a low bun and layering with Lizzie Fortunato’s ‘Amaranth’ necklace, strung with an array of saucer-shaped beads, including lapis lazuli, amber and quartz. Whether you opt for a skirt or pants, complete a low-key weekend look with Bottega Veneta’s ‘Riva’ sandals (another NET SUSTAIN highlight) and Jacquemus’s ‘Le Bisou Perle’ bag in sumptuous croc-effect suede.
